Real touch of Religion
This summer, I had the chance to visit Lord Amar Nath Cave in Kashmir. In the past I have visited many religious places of all religions - Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Bodhs, Jains etc. what the appeal of religion - service to mankind with thanks on happy faces - has been witnessed and felt for the first time. The moment you reach those tents en-route to Lord Amar Nath Cave - housing free food and shelter (including first aid) - you are approached with folded hands to kindly visit their place, have tea with snacks or lunch or dinner and the bed to sleep for the night and without any charges. They also thank you for visiting them. They give these services to everyone including porters, coolies, securitymen and all alike. One can feel the feeling of service of humanity as the service to Almighty. Every religion teaches this, but in this commerical world, human beings and so called messengers of God have started weighing every thing in terms of money alone. I wish everyone to rise above petty politics of religion and see God in everything on the earth.
